Welcome to Beardynature photography

Originally from Manchester, I now live in Stoke-on-Trent. My photos come from my wanderings with a camera—sometimes with the goal of capturing specific species or working on small projects, other times just exploring without a plan and snapping shots I might have missed otherwise. 

You never know what you’ll come across when you’re out and about with a camera!!

All wildlife is photographed with minimal disruption, using a range of photographic equipment, fieldcraft, and other non-invasive techniques to keep images as natural as possible while causing the least stress to the subject and its surroundings. 

Any exotic or non-native species shown are captive-bred (unless stated) and photographed in rescue centres, zoos, wildlife parks, or through reputable businesses, charities, or private collectors.

All my images are taken with whatever I have on hand—whether it’s a DSLR camera, phone, or something else. Sometimes a photo needs a little TLC, but I use editing software as sparingly as possible to keep it true to the original. 

My goal is always to bring out the best in the picture, not turn it into something unrecognizable. Anything that strays too far from the original gets deleted rather than published. I never use AI to create images.
