Turning memories and moments into pictures.

It started with a favour for a friend by taking a few pictures for a local Theatre group for the Christmas Panto for social media. 

I now work alongside the marketing team as the volunteer Production & show photographer for SATS (Stoke Amateur Theatre Society), with pantomimes, shows, outdoor events, & one adult panto, 200+ cast headshots, and countless rehearsal sessions all being captured.

I enjoy the challenge of Event & show photography; to me the fundamentals weren’t that different from wildlife photography. 

My camera had to be set up ready, I had to be able to change settings & anticipate what was happening next then quickly react or I'd miss the shot. 

All this was all credited under my Beardy Nature branding via social media, the local press, or via testimonials which didn’t really fit the images. It was then I decided to create a different brand that was more connected with the images I was producing and so the photography journey continues. 

I have expanded this branch of my photography. Providing images for social media, printed media, and websites for theatre groups, bands, theatre festivals, local charities,  community projects, and even an orchestra. 

This has all been mixed up with a little bit of food photography, family event photography, pet & portrait photography and lots of other projects.

The majority of my event photography is offered as a free service to help people, groups & charities promote themselves or the work they do. I gain valuable experience & learning while they gain images to use without a cost.
