How did Beardy Nature grow to add Beardy Events?
It started with a favour for a friend with taking a few pictures for a local Theatre group for the Christmas Panto for social media.
Now we're 4 years into the journey with SATS (Stoke Amatuer Theatre Society) with 4 pantomines, 3 shows, 4 outdoor events, 1 adult panto, 80+ cast headshots & countless rehearsal sessions... I now work as a volunteer alongside the marketing team as the Production photographer.

I enjoyed the challenge of Event & show photography; the fundamentals weren’t that different from wildlife photography. My camera had to be set up ready, able to change settings or quickly react or I'd miss the shot.
All this was credited under my BeardyNature logo on social media, or the local press which didn’t really fit so I decided to create a different brand that connected with the images I was producing
During 2024 I have been able to expand this branch of my photography. I have provided images for social media, printed media, & websites for theatres groups, bands, theatre festivals, local charity events, local community projects even an orchestra.
This has all been mixed up with a little bit of food photography, family event photgraphy, pet & portrait photography and lots of other things including some nature photography

With BeardyEvents Photography, I believe that photography is not just about grabbing any image but about helping to create a lasting memory. I try hard to capture images that stir emotion and the essence of the moment. Images that when you look at them you remember with a smile.
